Cross-Cultural Creative Residency at Kouchibouguac Park

In June 2021, ArtsLink NB, L’Association acadienne des artistes professionnel.le.s du Nouveau-Brunswick (AAAPNB), and Mawi’Art: Wabanaki Artist Collective held a 10 day long cross-cultural creative residency at Kouchibouguac National Park.

10 New Brunswick artists had the unique opportunity to work on a personal project while being surrounded by the creative energies of other artists.

In this episode, Collectif HAT met up for a chat with each of the participants - on location at Kouchibouguac Park.

Cet épisode est enregistré en français et en anglais - selon la langue de préférence de chaque artiste.
This episode was recorded in both French and English - according to each artist’s preference.

The residency allowed for Wayfinding - a group exhibition curated by Amy Ash - which was presented at the Saint John Arts Centre from September 9 to October 28, 2022

Whether navigating the world around us, traversing from one place or physical state to another, or endeavoring a creative pursuit, the artists in Wayfinding encourage us to orient ourselves with reciprocity, gently asking: what does it mean for us, collectively, to be brought together to “find our way,” here, in this corner of the world?
