Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud

Created as a part of RE:FLUX 16 - Sound Art and Experimental Music Festival organized by Galerie Sans Nom

Episode recorded in English

Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud is a spoken word experimental radio piece. It is a meandering contemplation of the relationship between nature and culture touching on sport, song, history, art, language, black magic, and laxatives. Part lecture and part radio drama, this radio work weaves music, voice and sound into a sonic collage. Originally written as a performative lecture by David Clark, this version has been adapted by collaborators from the Nothing to See Here radio show produced in Halifax.

The RE:FLUX Sound Art & Experimental Music Festival invited David Clark to produce an ARTériel episode as a part of its 16th edition. RE:FLUX explores new frontiers in sound through experimentation and invites spectators to explore the space between musical conventions in order to find new sensorial possibilities. This annual festival offers an experience that transcends all expectations by reinventing music as we’ve come to know it, seeking its purpose without ever finding it.

RE:FLUX is run by Galerie Sans Nom.
